THE WORD & DOCTRINE

“…they gladly received the Word… they continued steadfastly in the apostle’s doctrine” vs. 41, 42- At POLC, we love the Word of God! We hunger for it and give it the honour that it is due by putting it first in every area of ministry. Our pastors minister the uncompromising Word of God with boldness and clarity (Psalms 138:2).

FELLOWSHIP

“… fellowship and breaking of bread… from house to house” vs. 42, 46 - At POLC, fellowshipping with one another around food, is a vital aspect of the ministry. A variety of opportunities to fellowship are organized inside and outside of the church.

PRAYER

“… in prayers…” vs. 42 - Prayer is an essential part of the ministry at POLC. We believe that prayer paves the way for the power of God to move on our behalf as a church, enabling us to fulfill the vision He has given to our pastors.

 (Ephesians 6:18).

GIVING

“… shared their possessions and goods…” vs. 44, 45 - At POLC, we believe that generous giving results in generous reaping (Galatians 6:7). Bringing our tithes and offerings to the local church enables us to receive the fullness of the blessings that God has provided for His children (Malachi 3:10; Luke 6:38)

FEAR OF GOD

“… and fear came upon every soul…” vs. 43 -  At POLC, we believe that the things of God are worthy of the highest reverence and respect. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom

 (Psalms 111:10)!

FAITHFULNESS

“… continued daily…” vs. 46 - Faithfulness is the key to moving forward in God’s plan. Faithful people abound in the blessings of God

(Proverbs 28:20).

SIGNS & WONDERS

“… many signs and wonders were done…” vs. 43 - At POLC, we are hungry for a mighty move of God. We desire and expect to see the power of God manifest itself in the form of signs, wonders, miracles, healings, and “suddenly’s” (1 Corinthians 2:4; Mark 16:20).

UNITY

“… with one accord… and singleness of heart…” vs. 46 - At POLC, we are a family. As we gather together in unity, the power of God will flow in our midst in great ways (Psalms 133:1-3)

PRAISE & WORSHIP

“… praising God…” vs. 47 - Praise and worship is a vital part of the ministry at POLC. We will worship God as true worshippers do - in spirit and in truth (John 4:24)!

JOY

“… with gladness…” vs. 46 - At POLC, we want to be known as a people that are full of the joy of the Lord! The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10)!

SOUL WINNING

“… the Lord added to the church daily…” vs. 47 - At POLC, we believe in the importance of telling the world about the redemption that has been provided to them through Jesus’ death and resurrection. As we step out boldly to proclaim the gospel, the Lord will build His church! (Acts 4:29-31).

FAVORS

“… having favour…” vs. 47 - At POLC, we believe that because we are God’s children, His favour rests upon us corporately and individually (Psalms 102:13).
